Hooked and Iceberry- reviews

So last night after RJM and I went to visit what will probably be our reception site, we stopped at a sushi restaurant called Hooked that we have heard rave reviews about.

Hooked, in the Great Falls Plaza shopping center in Potomac Falls/Sterling, is much more than sushi! They have everything from fried calamari to crabcakes to macaroni and cheese!!

We decided to start with the Miso Sea Bass. It was very good! I do prefer the Miso Cod at both Bazins and Nobu, but this was still very good. Then we shared 4 different types of sushi: Spicy CA Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, the PGA Roll (a daily special) and the Tuna Tempura Roll. They were all super delish! I would highly recommend Hooked to anyone looking for a large variety of sushi/seafood/Asian foods. Next time I go I'm getting Lobster Bisque and the Mile High Mac and Cheese!

After Hooked we decided to hit up "Iceberry" in Reston Town Center. For all you Hills fans out there, Iceberry seems to a competitor to Pinkberry that is famous in both LA and NYC.

Although it doesn't have quite the variety of toppings that Pinkberry has, their frozen yogurt tastes exactly the same! Luckily for RJM (and Lo Bosworth) they do have the Fruity Pebbles topping at Iceberry. If you have never had Pinkberry or Iceberry I highly recommend you run (don't walk) to the nearest store. It's 100% natural, fat free, tangy and slightly sweet. It's definitely not what you would get (or expect) at your local TCBY.

Go out there and give it a try- and call me if you go to Iceberry, I'd be happy to meet you there :)

To much nipple talk.

So you know that old adage, you learn something new everyday? Well, Saturday was a doozie for me! One of my besties, RR is getting ready to have a baby. We threw her a small friends shower at Maggiano's (delish) during which the topic of breastfeeding came up.

Now I am the first to admit- I really have no idea (nor really want to know) about "childbearing things". But alas, here are two interesting facts about breastfeeding that I never wanted to learn:
1) Evidentally there are different "shapes" of nipples for bottles that are made to coordinate the Mom's nipples! To quote RR, "Yeah, you can get flat, perky, etc" I mean really, can you imagine going into Babies R Us and being like, excuse me- do you have bottle nipples to match THESE!

2) Some people have to "toughen up their nipples". Now this was way gross. One of my friends was telling me that her friend had to scrub her nipples with dry sponges to "roughen them up". Intrigued, I looked up some information about this. Below are some guidelines that I feel are useful for all women :)

· Do NOT rub your nipples with a nail brush (or even a washcloth) to toughen them.
· Do NOT apply alcohol, witch hazel, tincture of benzoin, or Vaseline to harden / prepare the nipples.
· Do not use soap on your nipples.

Imagine all the people...

Below please find an insensitive conversation I was recently in about that little girl in India with two faces.

BHM: Did you hear about that girl with two faces they are worshipping in India?
CEB: Yeah! I saw the picture online- how crazy is that!
BHM: Can you imagine if we worshipped all the two-faced people we knew?

Touche.

Our Wedding Day!

Ladies and Gentleman....after 12 days of engagement we have finally decided on a wedding date....

MAY 2, 2009
We were going to do April 18th so Sara and I can have *almost* the same wedding anniversary but those Orthodox folks have to have Easter the next day! We also thought about April 25th but that's STACY'S 30th BIRTHDAY!
Mark your calendars :)
